Maybe I need a different tactic.
I cannot crack the SmokeLong shell. They continue to send me rejections praising my language/ sentences, but apparently my stories are not up to par. I can’t figure it out.

Smokelong has one of the most blunt form rejections out there. I can’t figure out their acceptance pattern, either. Draw from a hat, perhaps?

Try sentimental(ish) narrative-driven stuff? If I had something like that, that’s what I’d try next. But I haven’t been writing. So let me know if it works. And I’ll see you in Philly in July!
